QA Engineer
As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our core team, focusing on software that integrates customer and invoice data within Calvi. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with our development teams to identify issues and ensure a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities and skills

Collaboration and SCRUM
- Work closely with team members, international development teams, and product owners using the SCRUM methodology.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Market Trends and Development
- Stay up-to-date on recent trends and developments in the market.
- Integrate the latest technologies and industry best practices into the software development process.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing best practices for testing methodologies and automation processes.

Technical Responsibilities
- Work within our cross-functional agile team to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of our web application.
- Create and manage automated UI tests based on our test automation framework.
- Implement manual and automated API tests.
- Plan, execute and analyze the results of automated tests across our applications.
- Support the team with the creation and execution of manual tests.
- Report bugs and errors to the development teams (Jira, Confluence).
- Help troubleshoot issues in our various environments including production.

Technical Stack Skills
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with TestCafe or Playwright.
- Experience with Postman.
- Experience with GitHub.
- Familiar with behavior-driven development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Software QA experience in test automation, API testing, and frontend testing.
- Understanding software testing process and methodologies.
- ISTQB Foundation level certification is a must.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience integrating automation tests in CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Knowledge of best practices in the software testing, experience in applying different software testing techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and attention to detail.
- You are proactive and a team player.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written form.
Nice to have
- Experience with SonarQube, Docker, MS Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing methods.
- ISTQB advanced certification.
- Experience with load and performance testing (e.g. JMeter, Grafana k6).
- Experience with back-end automation (e.g. Java, Postman).
- Eagerness to stay updated on industry trends and adopt new technologies.
