Are you passionate about security and eager to take on a crucial role in protecting
internal infrastructure and customer systems? As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will
implement security measures across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring
the highest industry standards are met. While focusing primarily on security, you’ll also
contribute to platform engineering, helping to maintain a stable, scalable, and secure
infrastructure.

At Calvi, we provide a SaaS solution for our customers, primarily deployed on an Azure
Kubernetes Cluster with various supporting Azure services. As we transition to a fully
cloud-based environment, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the security and resilience
of our systems.

software solution helps prevent invoice-related queries and supports the end-user to
internally process and pay invoices.

Responsibilities as a Security Engineer 


In this role, you will design and implement security measures across cloud and on-
premises environments, ensuring continuous compliance with security best practices.
Collaborating with the CISO and operational teams, you'll develop protocols to prevent,
detect, and respond to potential threats.


While managing security tools, your primary responsibility will be the execution of
comprehensive security strategies across the platform. You will also support platform
engineering efforts to ensure that the underlying infrastructure remains stable, scalable,
and secure.


Your role includes translating customer-specific security requirements into actionable
solutions and serving as the first point of contact for external security providers, ensuring
quick resolution of any issues. A strong focus on process improvement and proactive
security management will be key to your success.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or
    equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing security measures and processes within cloud
    and/or on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure security practices and experience working within an Azure-native
    ecosystem
  • Experience in working with external security providers, managing relationships, and
    ensuring swift issue resolution.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of security processes and
    continuously improve security measures.
  • Ability to analyze security requirements and translate them into actionable security
    solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create clear and actionable security
    reports.
  • You are pro-active and a team player, able to collaborate across teams to achieve
    security goals.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. 


Nice to have:

  • Azure certification focused on security is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in an Azure environment.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Bicep for automating platform
    provisioning.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).

What we offer:

  • A salary range between € 4000.- and € 5700.- based on a 40-hour workweek
  • A workweek of 32, 36 or 40 hours
  • 25 vacation days (based on 40hr work week), and 8% holiday allowance.
