2021 in a Nutshell: A Look Back at an Incredible Calvi Year

22 December 2021 | Walter Neeft

The end of the year is fast approaching, and what a year it’s been. As we wind down to enjoy the upcoming holiday season with our friends and family and get ready to ring in 2022, we thought it would be a fantastic time to look back at some of the Calvi milestones that were commemorated in 2021. So as you pour yourself a glass of bubbly to celebrate, here’s a small snapshot of everything we’ve accomplished together:

  • This year our leadership team went through a transformation and added three new members; Walter Neeft (CCO), Michaël Stoop (CTO) and Maarten van Pinxteren (CFO). The new leadership team has been instrumental in this year’s achievements and will continue to pave the way for our future growth at Calvi through new energy and ideas,.
  • We successfully completed the Billing Experience and Capabilities Survey in collaboration with ETIS, where we measured and compared 17 different Communication Service Providers on their performance in the billing experience domain. This has been a great achievement for the working group and we can’t wait to share the results with you in the new year!
  • We have also successfully onboarded Europe’s largest Communication Service Provider in 2021, registering an all-time record number of processed bills and users on the Calvi Platform. Needless to say, we are very proud of everyone at Calvi that contributed to this huge achievement.
  • What began as an incubated idea, quickly accelerated into the new Calvi Business Consultancy team. By utilizing our domain expertise we have been able to positively assist customers in solving complex problems and challenges surrounding the billing experience.
  • Additionally, perhaps one of the biggest achievements in 2021 was launching our software release, Calvi Polaris. This new release has increased agility and lowered CSPs' costs while making upgrades to the digital billing experience far more effortless. As a result, we are confident that our solution positions Calvi as the go-to-choice for telcos and new growth markets in 2022 and beyond.
  • Finally, despite several lockdowns and the move towards a hybrid working model, we've successfully managed to steer the path of the unknown. We know 2022 will bring new challenges, but Calvi is here to support you every step of the way!

In conclusion we’ve taken some great steps in 2021 and have laid the groundwork to position ourselves for some much bigger leaps in 2022. On behalf of the entire company, let's celebrate by reflecting, recharging, and looking forward to a fantastic 2022.

Happy Holidays and a very joyful, prosperous, and peaceful New Year. See you all in 2022!

Moonshot Catalyst: a giant leap in billing support

What do customers do when they don’t understand their bill or when they are billed far more
than they’d expected? They’re going to call their operator and ask for help.

Billing issues are one of the biggest causes of customer inquiries and dealing with these
inquiries takes a lot of resources and costs a lot of money. In fact, as Telecom Argentina’s Mariela
Fiorenzo explains, making just one customer support call can render a customer unprofitable for the month (and maybe even the next one!).
