Big (Customer-) Friendly Giants: How Telcos can promote transparency through digitalization

Today, the seemingly endless number of possibilities have created new customer demands and expectations. The ETIS Smart Charging and Payments working group is made up of European billing experts, and we believe that billing is an essential element of overall customer satisfaction. We believe that the transparency and convenience of a true digital billing and payments model will help Telcos regain customer trust and loyalty. Special thanks to the representatives from KPN, Deutsche Telekom, Proximus, Swisscom, Lattelecom, Altice Portugal and Telia Estonia for sharing their perspectives and vision!
The Digital Billing & Payments Manifesto was written by and for experts in the telecom industry. It is a product of our collective belief that digitalization is a multi-stakeholder initiative, and is thus meant to serve as a blueprint for cross-departmental collaboration and transformation.
The previous version of the Manifesto was updated to include:
- Real e-invoicing;
- API’s, microservices & real-time billing;
- Ease of payments & lifecycle management;
- The need to re-invent our processes.
