Calvi awarded with Silver CSR Rating by EcoVadis

05 April 2018 | Jana van Dam

Calvi has been certified as Silver regarding EcoVadis’ approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management. To achieve this level of recognition, an organization must obtain an advanced score on the assessment as provided by EcoVadis. At Calvi, we aim to be an example for others in the industry and beyond. We are proud to have received a Silver CSR rating and commit to the continuous improvement of our CSR practices. Calvi is thrilled to be amongst the top 7% of suppliers assessed by EcoVadis in all categories.

What is CSR?

CSR is the continuing commitment to behave responsibly by integrating social and environmental concerns into business operations. CSR goes beyond regulatory compliance to focus on how companies manage their economic, social, and environmental impacts, as well as their relationships with stakeholders (e.g., employees, suppliers, government).

Who or What is EcoVadis?

The EcoVadis methodology framework assesses the policies and measures put in place with regards to environmental, fair, and sustainable business practices for internal as well as external stakeholders and ranks an organization according to their standards. The assessment is completely tailored to the organization’s industry, and EcoVadis’ certificates have been widely recognized as a reliable tool to evaluate an organization's CSR practices. The methodology and criteria are in line with international CSR standards including the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

Our best practices

The Silver ranking of Calvi indicates a leading performance with regards to CSR. We have both formal and informal policies in place with an extensive focus on responsible business practices.

At Calvi, we have a structured and proactive CSR approach whereby we actively engage with stakeholders to address ethical, social, and environmental issues. Nonetheless, we are dedicated to expand our practices in the field of CSR and aim to take a more prominent position in communicating our CSR approach to our stakeholders.
