Calvi heroes contributing to community: because we care!

As Calvi is a rapidly growing organization, we believe that we should take our responsibility beyond the grounds of our market and take initiative regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). With our solution we are already encouraging our customers to move towards digital, and we encourage them to become part of our community and pursue the ultimate goal of becoming a paperless organization. Our solution contributes to the reduction of paper invoicing and offers our customers the possibility to move to e-invoicing and adopt an eco-friendly approach to invoicing.

However, we are also firm believers of the ‘doing well by doing good’ principle. We value the well-being of the people around us and for that reason, we actively collaborate with charities and nonprofit organizations. We aim to be a responsible example for our social environment and want to positively impact those we hold dear. Without further ado, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Vier het Leven foundation and our contribution to Inloophuis Midden-Brabant.

Because no one should live in isolation - Vier het Leven Foundation

Can you imagine your age holding you back from going out? Unfortunately, this is the reality for many elderly in the Netherlands: they are often unable to leave their homes to attend social events. This vulnerable group could easily lose their social contacts and involvement in society. The Vier het Leven foundation is a nonprofit organization that has a mission to combat loneliness amongst the elderly and prevent social isolation. The organization connects the elderly and volunteers and helps them undertake cultural activities together. Volunteers of Vier het Leven become a personal guide for the participants; they pick them up from their homes and enjoy an evening or day out together, after which they make sure they get home safely. Through this partnership, we stimulate our employees to become a volunteer and contribute to the mission of Vier het Leven. Additionally, we made a donation, which offers every person a one time discount for an activity of their choice. At CALVI, we genuinely believe that we can help the Vier het Leven foundation to reduce loneliness amongst the elderly.

Because no one should fight alone - Inloophuis Midden-Brabant

Living a life with cancer sounds as horrible as it is and approximately 116,000 people in The Netherlands are diagnosed with cancer every year. This means that every 60 minutes, 13 people get diagnosed with the disease that turns lives upside down. Many lives are touched by this horrible disease, and several Calvi employees have also been confronted with cancer in their lives. This makes us even more proud to announce that we are sponsoring an organization that supports people who have been confronted with this disease. Inloophuis Midden-Brabant is an organization where people can share stories and personal experiences about their fight against cancer. It doesn’t matter whether you are a patient, family member, partner or neighbor; everyone is welcome. They also organize activities to help people reduce their stress levels and inform them about the possible consequences that cancer can have on their social and professional life. We are extremely honored and humbled that we will be able to assist the organization with its mission to extend a helping hand to those in need of one.

At Calvi, we have a people-centric and proactive CSR approach whereby we actively engage with stakeholders to address ethical, social, and environmental issues. Nonetheless, we are dedicated to expand our practices in the field of CSR and aim to take a more prominent position in our community and the communication of our CSR approach to our stakeholders.
